Job DescriptionJob Title: Ab Initio Administration Lead/Information Technology - Engineer, Systems Lead (Hybrid)Client: Health Care Industry

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Reston, VA 20191

Qualification Requirements:

• Advanced (Expert preferred) Level Experience:
• Administrating and engineering relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, RDS, DB2)
• Big Data systems (e.g., Cloudera Data Platform Private Cloud and Public Cloud)
• Automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Bit Bucket)
• Cloud solutions (specifically data products on AWS)
• AWS Cloud Experience:
• At least 10 years of experience with AWS Cloud.
• Ab Initio Expertise:
• At least 10 years of experience with all tasks involved in the administration of the ETL Tool (Ab Initio)
• Advanced knowledge of Ab Initio Graphical Development Environment (GDE), Meta Data Hub, Operational Console
• Experience creating Big Data pipelines (ETL) from on-premises to Data Factories, Data Lakes, and Cloud Storage such as EBS or S3
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Shell scripting, and SQL
• Experience troubleshooting issues related to Hive, ICFF, HDFS
• Managing metadata hub-MDH, Operational Console, and troubleshooting environmental issues affecting these components
• Scripting and automation (e.g., designing and developing automated ETL processes and architecture, unit testing of the ETL code)
• Troubleshooting potential issues with Kerberos, TLS/SSL, Models, and Experiments, as well as other workload issues that data scientists might encounter once the application is running
• Cloudera Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of Cloudera (Hadoop, HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark) administration and management
• AWS Services:
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.)
• Additional Skills:
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• DB2 Knowledge:
• Strongly demonstrated knowledge of DB2
• Leadership and Representation:
• Represents the team in all architectural and design discussions
• Knowledgeable in the end-to-end process and able to act as an SME providing credible feedback and input in all impacted areas
• Requires tracking and monitoring projects and tasks as the lead
  

This role demands a blend of technical expertise, hands-on experience, and leadership skills to ensure the successful administration of ETL tools and support of data integration and data warehouse implementations.
